

Danielle Sorum
Owner, instructor, & competition director
Ms. Danielle has been a teacher of dance for thirty-six years. She has been teaching all dance styles to students aging from 2 to 42 years. Ms. Danielle received her BFA(Dance) from Western Michigan University and her MFA(Dance) from the University of Michigan where she also taught for two years. She studied choreography with Cliff Kueter, Jan Ekert, Peter Sparling, Joel Hall and Frank Hatchett. She served as the University of Michigan-Flint’s Dance Director for 4 years where she was awarded The Michigan Compact Campus Award for her commitment to the community and her students.
Inspiring younger dancers to move stems from her Early Childhood certifications as well as being a former Preschool Director/Teacher. It is a privilege to be a part of the Linden community for over 26 years where she has lived, taught and directed for the previous studio owner. The studio and her choreography have been regionally and nationally recognized and viewed locally on several main stages for 14 years.


Ashlynn Feige
Instructor
Ms. Ashlynn is a graduate of the University of Michigan Flint, where she received her Bachelor's degree as their first graduating Dance major in 2017. Before that, she began her dance education at age 3 at the Flint School of Performing Arts. She has been involved in musical theatre through the years and most recently portrayed Mary Poppins in the musical Mary Poppins. Ms. Ashlynn loves to share her music, and dance knowledge with her students.


Bethany Lenhart
Distinguished Instructor F.C.C.A.
Bethany Lenhart ss that on the National Board of Directors for the Cecchetti Council of America(CCA). Bethany served as president of the CCA from 1995-2000 and 2016-2018. She held the office of Vice President, Corresponding Secretary, General Board Chairman of Committees throughout the USA and Liaison Coordinator. She is a Fellow of the Cecchetti Council of America holding the advanced certification FCCA. Miss Lenhart studied with Lena Pelio from three years and beyond and with the CCA coach for the greater Flint area, Enid Ricardeau of Detroit, MI. Miss Lenhart continued her training with Vincenzo Celli in New York, as well as Madam Valentino Preyslavic, George Zorich, Stuart Sebastian, Robert Davis and Iacob Lascu. In 1999, as president of the CCA, she attended the teachers training summer school at the University of College Chichester in England where in 2005 she received the Sylvia Hamer/Margaret Marsh Scholarship. In 2017, again President of the CCA, she represented the CCA at the International Classical Ballet Competition in Florence Italy. Miss Lenhart has choreographed for several regional companies in the USA and Canada. She traveled with the Saginaw Michigan Dance Company taking students to study in Spain, Africa, England, France, Russia, and Finland. Bethany served as the President of the former Flint Ballet Theatre for 28 years bringing in many famous choreographers to teach and set ballet performances. Miss Lenhart also received the Children's Champion Award.


Abbey Tischbein
Instructor
I’m Abbey Tischbein, with 7 years of dance experience and 8 years of teaching and assisting kids. Ms. Abbey brings passion and creativity to every class. She specializes in teaching Lyrical, Contemporary, and Musical Theater. Ms. Abbey blends expressive movement and strong fitness conditioning to her classes. She works full time and trains to become a certified personal trainer and bodybuilder.


Reagan Wood
Instructor
My name is Reagan and I’m 23 years old. I have danced for 17 years, and I have taught for 4 years. I have taught many ages through 2-year-olds to 18! In my dance experience I have performed in Acro, ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, Pom, and African and belly. I’m so excited to join the Linden Dance Academy and watch all the kids grow inside and outside of the dance community.


Kylee Flaherty
Guest Instructor
Ms. Kylee danced for 6 years at Linden Dance Academy and lead the competition company her senior year. She has earned multiple scholarships and special awards including 1st place for her solo at Star Systems National Dance Competition in 2021. Ms. Kylee has assisted in teaching our youngest dancers through co-directing our competition teams for over 5 years at LDA. Her choreography has been viewed on regional and national competition stages. Kylee has studied and performed at University of Michigan-Flint and Oakland University. Currently, Ms. Flaherty is pursuing her love for Early Childhood education and will remain on our staff as a Guest Choreographer.


Shannon Tischbein
Beloved Teacher
Forever Remembered, Never Forgotten
Ms. Shannon had partnered with her Tischbein crew to bring us amazing stage sets and props to our studio. She instructed our youngest dancers through combination levels of Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Lyrical. Her choreography was hailed to be entertaining and innovative. She will be always remembered by the LDA family.
